Associate Director
We are looking for a pro-active and experienced Associate Director to be responsible for direct oversight of all aspects of asset management for a portfolio of high-quality social-impact-infrastructure assets. The position can be located in Melbourne or Sydney. The Associate Director will be tasked with driving outperformance for their assets under management, working with the Managing Director on new investments, and ultimately serving as an expert in either Community Housing or Energy Transition (Cloverleaf's two focus sectors).

What You’ll Do

Help manage our community housing and energy transisition assets to optimise both impact and financial performance

Assisting with fundamental analysis to support the evaluation and submission of bids for new assets
Assisting in the preparation of term sheets, information memorandums, investment committee papers and presentations

Helping negotiate investment terms, project agreements, risk transfer under building contracts (if relevant) and finance documents

Coordinating and undertaking due diligence and engagement and management of professional advisors, as required

Originating new business in your area of expertise

Assistance with the financial management of existing portfolio investments and potentially helping to manage and monitor those investments by shadowing a Principal or Asset Director to board meetings on investee boards (if of interest)

Problem solving - if there’s a problem or unresolved issue with respect to a new opportunity or existing asset, all team members are expected to take responsibility where appropriate for identifying issues and proactively working to solve problems given the flat structure of the organisation.
Who You are

You will likely have 10+ years relevant experience

You will be capable of taking a leadership role in one or more commercial work streams including contract negotiation and/or due diligence report finalisation

Significant energy transition, renewable energy and/or community housing experience will be highly regarded

You will have experience as a board director and with construction projects

You will have the temperament and capability to work in a small team environment, to deal with clients and external peers and to work under pressure when necessary
